Squiggly Gets Glasses

Squiggly just wants to fit in, but it’s hard when he looks so different from the other squirrels at school. And the class bully, Archie, doesn’t make it any easier. But, with the help of his good friends and some great adults, Squiggly learns that being different doesn’t have to be hard—it can be fun! Squiggly realizes just how special he is, how great making new friends can be, and that he doesn’t have to look like anyone else, he just has to look like Squiggly!

My Thoughts:

My six year old son is currently having a contest at school to see how many books each child can read over spring break. When I came across this book on Netgalley I decided to give it a try and have my son read it so we could add it to our list for the contest. We just finished the book and both my son and I just loved it! Although I do think the book is a little lengthy for a kindergartener it would be perfect for a child in first or second grade and also as a bedtime story read by a parent. I thought that it had a wonderful moral to the story and very loveable characters. The book also had very cute illustrations. I would definitely recommend this book to other parents!!
